![]() With over 30 years in the hobby industry, Traxxas goes the extra mile to ensure that your RC experience is easy and fun. The chassis is extremely can be a basher, racer, or MONSTER TRUCK lol. 1/16 E-Revo VXL comes Ready-To-Race out of the box with the TQi 2.4 GHz 2-channel radio system, waterproof VXL-3m ESC, and included 7.2 V battery and charger. ![]() Here is my thread about the front diff issue before I sold mine at a great price: Īlso here's some other ideas you can do to this little truck. You may face overheating due to the friction. You can use some shims to bring the gears closer together if that happens but that only temporarily fixes the issue. My front diff eventually had a crack in it somewhere and I guess too much grit got into it and shaved off a bit of the contact area. Not a big deal but just wanted to warn you ahead of time. Landing on one tire or harsh landings take a big toll on the diffs which eventually will damage the ring and pinion. When I had my MERV I converted it to on road since once it hits past 45 mph or so it begins to easily get air born if you setup for off road. If you don't plan on racing just bashing around make sure your diffs are filled as well with a good viscosity. I'd warn you about running dual 2S in parallel especially if you take it hard packed clay racing outdoors.although the MERV is one tough little speed rocket make sure you setup a center diff and use proper diff fluid. Thermal Protection: Two-Stage Thermal Shutdown Motor Connectors: Traxxas 3.5mm bullet connectors Input Voltage: 6 to 12 cell NiMH, 2S to 3S LiPo You can however run 2 2s or 3s packs in parallel which will only double the mah of the packs and not the voltage. Also you cannot run 2 2s lipo packs in series because it totals 14.8v and the ESC will not arm. Anymore voltage than what a 3s lipo has and the ESC will go into over voltage protection and will not power up. It is only rated for 6-12 cells NIMH and 11.1v 3s lipo. I suggest you find a way to cool the ESC/motor to prevent thermaling though. The ESC can take up to 4S max, which means either 2S in series or parallel, or 3S in parallel. ![]()
